Unhappy Due in a week, but somethign isnt right

I'm 39 weeks along and due on Christmas day. All day today and a little bit last night I have had horrible pain in my entire abdomen. It feels like I haven't worked out in a while and decided to do 100 sit ups type of sore. I live with my mother and asked her about them and she said its nothing you will "know" when it's a contraction.

It's also been more difficult to pee and not to be too vulgar but I've had really loose stool. A friend of mine told me that could be a sign that it's going to happen soon. She has dropped but keeps moving up a little then down a lot and so on...

Well my doc hasn't checked me at all to see if I'm dilated and I'm showing no other signs of labor. My baby is very calm compared to normal and I know they aren't Braxton Hick's because I had those about a month ago and went to the ER.

This is different and I have no idea whats going on and I'm afraid that me not knowing what it is will cause harm to my baby! Can anyone lend some advice to a young, first time mom please?

    Hey sweet.

    So close huh...

I think your worried alot and rightly so, to be scared, call your local hospital and explain exactly what you have here and just ask them if you should go in or not.

It's possible this little sunshine isn't going to wait until Christmas Day, it could also be something you ate, which is upsetting your stomach, therefore your bowel movements.

Your little girl is doing her thing, going to low and then being content and remaining where she was...

But, whenever in doubt, no one knows your body like you, any intuition you have, use it, make a call.. They may want you to go in overnight and just obserb which wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

Good luck and let us know please and also what you decided to name her

    Merry "early" Xmas...

First, the baby will stop moving as much when you are getting close to labor, this is normal. Also, loose stools are also going to happen close to labor, about a week before. The soreness I don't know about. Call your doctor and ask to be seen. He should be checking you every week at this point in your pregnancy.

Dance is right, most everything sounds normal, but if you have ANY questions or worries, call the Dr. I am surprised the Dr hasn't checked your cervix at all... If I remember right, I started getting checked every week at 36 weeks.
