My mother got her tubes tied after she had her 2nd child. 10 years later I was born. Although that was in 1974, I'm sure procedures have gotten better since then, but reading some of these posts I don't find it to be a real "perfect" fix...

Question OMG

I had my tubes done (not sure how) in 2004, and I'm at least 1-2 weeks late, maybe more since I don't remember having a period in January. I haven't missed a period except for being pg in 7 years! Can it be? My stomach feels larger and sort of bloated and my face has broken out. And while these cold all be signs of AF coming it doesn't feel the same....I'm driving myself nuts, searching the failure rates and desperately trying to find others who've had successfull pg's...at first I thought I just wanted to know either way, now I think I've gotten my hopes up for nothing..AHHHHHH. I took an HPT on sunday and it was negative, but all my tests were negative with my DD, so....I have an appointment tomorrow at the Doc, so we'll see...I'm scared I've gone overboard with the hoped of being pg that I'm imagining the "feeling"...

Hi Ladies..
I am a married mother of two and I had my tubes tied 4 years ago(in Jan). I have been regretting it for almost six months now. Recently me and my hubby have 'been trying' because I had read alot of info online stating that there is still a % chance.
I have never known anyone who has, but a few of my family members say that after five years you can(dont know how trye that is though, lol)
I have taken 4 home pregnancy test all in the span of two weeks. I'm freakin out and getting my hopes up because of the syptoms i'm having. Lots of cramping, bloting, breakouts, nausea, headaches and such. My cycle has always been irregular, but the last time I had one was in the begining of January.
Next week I am gonna make an appointment with an OB/GYN and maybe get an accurate blood test. I know its very rare and the statistics are high, but i'm hoping to get pregnant really soon, God willing.

Default Hopefull or not??

Hi all,

I am a mother of 2 and I had a TL done right after my second child 7 years ago. my menstrual is currently 5 weeks late and I am starting to think I maybe pregnant??? I been going back and forth with myself wondering and now daydreaming about having a new addition to my family. Although I was adament about not having no more children, but the thought of possibly being pregnant again has me on an emotional rollercoaster. It is Gods will if I am, I have no regrets about having the TL done, but there have been times when I thought about having another child. I will be taking a test this week if my menstrual is still a no show, i have been trying to convince myself that maybe it has not come because of stress and cycle changing?

Default Not pregnant afterall

Hello,

I went ahead and got a blood test this morning to see if I could be pregnant and it came back negative! I must say I am a little dissappointed! So now I am wondering what else could be going on that I did not receive my menstrual?

My sister had her tubes tied (burned and clamped)...then had unportected sex without a problem for 6 years...then she got pregnant.
Her doctor informed her after the c-section birth of her third and unplanned child, he did not get the tube on one side but the "uterine ligament".
He waived all his professinal fees for the entire pregnancy and delivery and paid for what her insurance did not cover on the hospital charges for her and baby....
She is happy with 3rd and believes it was in the master plan.

Default I'm so confused!!!

I feel so silly by saying this, but I had no idea that there were different types of tubaligations, I honestly have no idea what my doctor did to me. What's worse is, I had my tubes tied 2 years ago, and I am seriously believing that I may be pregnant. I just had a period less than 2 weeks ago, and my breast immediately started to swell, and now I am actually lactating. How? WHY??? I know that ignoring it won't help, but I am so terrified to take a pregnancy test, because that poor child wouldn't stand a chance. I got my tubes tied because I didn't want to be pregnant. How could this happen?????

Default What should I do?

Hi, I am a 38 year old mother of 4 living children by c-section. During my last c-section, I agreed to a tubaligation because my doctor told me that a fifth c-section could be fatal to both me and the baby. That was almost 3 years ago. And now, I think I might be pregnant again. I don't believe in abortion but I don't want to bring harm to myself or my unborn child. Help!!

I had my tubes tied (hulka clamp) after my 14 yr old back in 1995. I remarried 2 years ago and decided we wanted a baby between us, I had my tubes reversed in 2006 and had my son April 6, 2009. We decided that was it since we already have 7 children between us and I decided to get my tubes cut and burned, I had that procedure done on 5/19/09 and I just found out in the Emergency Room on October 28, 2009 that I'm now 7 weeks pregnant. But in my case, the doctor made an error, she didn't cut my tube all the way and left a bridge for my husbands soldiers to cross...LOL
