Wow. I'm speechless actually.
If you google the title "New Oklahoma Law Will Put Details Of All Abortions Online," you can see the rest of the article. Here's an excerpt:
A new Oklahoma law will require the details of every abortion to be posted on a public website. Proponents say this will prevent abortion — apparently by shaming and burdening women and doctors.
The law (which you can look at here — it's HR 1595) mandates that a 34-item questionnaire be filled out by abortion providers for each procedure. The questionnaire doesn't include the woman's name or "any information specifically identifying the patient," but it does ask for age, race, level of education, marital status, number of previous pregnancies, and the county in which the abortion was performed, information which opponents of the bill argue would be enough to identify a woman in a small town. The questionnaire also asks about the mother's reason for the abortion, her method of payment, and even what type of insurance she has, as well as whether the fetus received anaesthetic and whether there was "an infant born alive as a result of the abortion."
... What? WHAT??? Even if you are against abortion, doesn't this seem like a horrific violation of some kind of human right? One of the comments below the article said, "We might as well paint a scarlet letter on their foreheads to prevent future abortions." Seems like this is what's happening.
Isn't abortion purely a RELIGIOUS matter? And I'm talking about "normal" abortions, those done within the first trimester. So why do they think they have the right to enforce these bizarre laws?
I think that if they're going to do something like this, then every unwanted child born into this world should immediately be handed over to the father, be he in jail, a 13 year old, or a psychopathic druggie.
Thoughts?

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
I'll bet it gets challenged and shot down.

Majority of OK residents/legislators are religious, so, "go figure!"
ALSO, alcohol is not sold in OK during Sundays. That being said, I am not surprised of that absurd bill. Too much, I would say.

It's a knee jerk response to change - squash the women. Control women, you control all. Get a copy of the May/June issue of Mother Jones mag, it's got a great article on what happens when you educate and empower women. Family sizes drop, quality of life goes up and the religious pundits lose ground.
