Hello!! Sorry this is so long, I am just trying to explain everything! Thanks for reading!

I started having 'signs' of pregnancy last week sometime while I was in the shower and noticed my breasts were bigger than normal. I brushed it off until the next few days when i realized I had been complaining to my husband that my back was hurting, my breasts were hurting, i had been getting frequent headaches and I had been getting mild cramps. I took 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative, so I didn't think much more of it until I started getting nauseated to where I didn't want to eat at times. I also noticed I was losing weight while I was eating normally and I was getting heartburn after eating my normal foods. I took 2 more pregnancy tests this weekend thinking maybe i was a few days early on testing, but they too were negative.

I was also drinking wine the other day and for some reason, my taste buds wanted nothing to do with it and it was my FAVORITE wine. I ended up pouring a whole glass of wine down the drain.

Everything I am going through, I went through when I was pregnant with my daughter, but I tested positive for her when I was only 3 1/2 weeks pregnant.

I have not missed my period yet, I actually just had one 2 weeks ago. I am on birth control and have been on it for 8 months now taking it EVERYDAY on time!!! I have been spotting between periods for 4 months now and was told about a month ago that meant the dosage I am on isn't high enough for me.

I asked this on Yahoo! Answers and everyone there kept saying it was just the birth control, but I read the 'symptoms of oral contraceptives' and only the nausea and headaches were on there! I know my body and I am almost certain I am pregnant...

Some might think this is silly, but I was doing the 'ring test' over my belly just messing around, seeing what it did since I was testing negative and every single time it has come back 2 boys. I did it over my husbands stomach and it was dead still! I have done this test to so many other pregnant women and it has been right...

But yet, I am still testing negative. I have heard of bleeding(monthly like a period) during pregnancy, and like I said, I know my body very well and know when something is 'off'!!

Am I just going crazy?! Should I stop the birth control? should I start taking prenatals again? I am just confused as to what I should do until I get the positive result.

    Thanks again!

It looks like it's too early for a test to pick up the pregnancy hormones. I'd wait until your next period is due, and if it doesn't come, then take another one as well as maybe one at the doctor's to be sure.

They do say that if you're pregnant, you should go off the birth control pill immediately. You might have to google search some info on that particular topic... At such an early stage, if you are pregnant, your fetus shouldn't be negatively affected (my pregnant friend's doctor even told her that the alcohol she had in her first month of being unknowingly pregnant wasn't an issue). But I could be wrong, and I would suggest calling up your doc and getting her/his advice!

Totally agree with Mes. I would definitly recommend seeing your doctor as your clearly worried about this. There was someone at my uni who was soooo convinced she was pregnant that she actually developed symptoms of pregnancy.

You should really see your doctor out of piece of mind.

I'm sure there's a name for it, but this is pretty common. Women can completely convince their bodies that they are pregnant and develop all the symptoms.

OP- about two weeks ago, I had EVERY symptom that you're describing. I'm very aware of my body and have never felt like that just from my cycle. My bra wouldn't fit, my boobs hurt like crazy, nausea all morning and every time I ate, back hurt, headaches, tired, heartburn. I was freaked and sure I was pregnant. I took two tests, both neg. But as soon as I quit worrying about it, it all went away and I got my period today. It could be just bad PMS, the symptoms are the same.

This condition, Sourpus, is called psudeocyesis (or "false pregnancy") psuedo meaning "false" and -cyesis meaning "pregnancy" .

I have heard about the false pregnancy thing but these things all came out of the blue. Like i said, I first noticed my boobs were bigger, and just left it at that, then i realized I had been complaining about all of the others things without realizing it. I can't exactly imagine cramps...they are there!! I don't want to be pregnant. Another pregnancy wasn't in the plan until my daughter was in school, so why would i trick myself into thinking i was?

Also, I forgot to mention this above, but I was told by a nurse that the pill i am currently on isn't a high enough dose for me. The pharmacy I use also switched my pills to a different brand but they said it was the same dosage... i don't know if this has anything to do with anything....

thank you all for the input... i guess I am just going crazy >.>

I think you'll just have to be patient until you miss your period. If you had one two weeks ago, you should be able to take another HPT in about a week.
