well i just found out i am 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant and i can already see the baby and the heartbeat with my ultrasound...so im not sure what to say..give it another week and get another ultrasound done!!
best of luck!
I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago and had my first doctors appointment yesterday. Based on my LMP, we thought I was going into my 9 week as it was on May 20, however, when the doctor conducted a vaginal ultrasound, she stated that she could not see a baby yet but that I was definitly pregnant and my sac was only measuring 6 weeks gestational so she indicated I might be too early to see anything. I also had a full bladder but I don't know if that blocks anything. I asked her if something was going to grow and she said she hopes so and now I can't stop thinking about it.
I am really nervous, we want everything to be ok so I don't know if I am jumping the gun by freaking out this early. I am wondering how common it is to see an empty sac at 6 weeks?
I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks but 2 uncomforting weeks is undue stress. I would appreciate anyone's experience in these areas.

The same thing happened to me and unfortunately it did not it well. At 7 weeks the doctor said he could she the gestational sac (measuring 7 weeks), but no yolk sac or baby. Next week we saw 2 yolk sacs, but no babies. I had weekly ultrasounds until my 10th week and nothing more ever developed but my gestational sac kept growing . During my 11th week I finally miscarried. My doctor told me that by 6 weeks a yolk sac and fetal pole (baby) should be seen on a ultrasound along with a heart beat. I am currently pregnant again and at 5 and 1/2 weeks we saw the baby and the heartbeat. When I went through my miscarriage last time I searched the internet for anything that would give me hope. I did found a web site where women had unusual first trimesters, and were even diagnosed as miscarrying and everything turned out ok. I hope that is the case with you, I hope when you go back to the doctor you find the baby with a healthy heartbeat.
Another thing I learned is that having a full bladder actually helps ultrasounds because it pushes the uterus forward. So when you go back make sure your bladder is full again.
I would listen to your dr - it maybe early so no worries. Make sure you are sleeping well, eating well, and taking good care of yourself. Nurish your body and treat yourself well. good luck
