I'm sure there's a simple answer to this, but I've never tracked my BBT so how exactly are you suppose to go about doing it? With what? and how often?
Not as simple as you would think.
You need to pick up a BBT thermometer. You cannot use a regular one. You need one broken down to one-tenth degree increments. With most BBT thermometers there are instructions and a chart.
Keep the thermometer by your bed because you need to do it when you first wake up (preferably around the same time), before you even get out of bed. You need your 'base' temperature, so that is with at least 4 hours of sleep and no activity. Do it before you even use the rest room in the morning.
It is easier to start charting on the first day of your cycle (it was for me anyways). And chart your temperature everyday. 96-98 degrees is the normal temp for a woman prior to ovulation, you will see a rise in temperature by about .4-.6 degrees at ovulation. It can be a sudden rise or a gradual rise, it really varies depending on the woman. This is the reason I recommend starting on the first day of your period. The first month you should notice a change about two weeks into charting. When you see an increase, you may want to take an ovulation test to verify and also take a good look at your cervical mucus.
It may take 2-3 months of charting to establish a good pattern.

Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
