Myth or fact
Is it an old mothers tale that if you have been on the pill for a long time it's difficult to get pregnant?
I have been been on the pill for 12 years, I am beginning to feel broody.
I don't think it is either, just an individual experience... I was on the pill for a couple of years and it took me a couple of years to get pregnant. I've known people who were on the pill for many years and it took them only 3-6 months to get pregnant.

My doctor told me it depense on how fertile the woman is... I was on BC from 13 to 21, pill for years then the shot for about a year then pill again. I've been off all forms of BC for about a year and a half now, and no pregnacy. Sometimes thoughts that I can't have children creap into my head and I have to keep telling myself... I'm young I have plenty of time and I just stopped BC not that long ago.
I knew a few girls in high school that had been on the pill for a good amount of time and missed a pill and got pregnant... so it all varies from person to person I'm sure.
