Friends of mine tried for almost two years without any luck. They were both overweight. They decided to put the baby trying on hold and focus on getting healthy. They both lost a significant amount of weight and within a few months she was able to get pregnant.
You need to be healthy to be pregnant and you want to be healthy for your family. Focus on losing weight, eating right and getting plenty of exercise and it will most likely happen.
Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.
I agree with sourpuss. Its proven that women have a harder time conceiving if they are overweight, but its not impossible. Just more challenging. But pregnancy can be very hard on your body as it is, let alone when you already have to carry around extra weight. I have extra weight, and with my first pregnancy, my hips felt like they were gunna break! Its just a good idea to be as healthy as you can be when you decide to have a baby
its true being a healthy weight with appropriate fat levels as well as eating properly
im a weight lifter and work out regularly... i was told before i try to get pregnant to put on fat or else it would be very hard
maybe continue trying and work on being healthy making it easier to conceive
im sure you will feel better about yourself and feel better physically while you travel on your journey
thanks to you all, i havent gotten my period in over two months, infact i think im going on three, after i was two weeks late i made an appt with the gyno to get a pregnancy test, it came back negative...i wasnt "trying" to get pregnant at that point, but just recently...3 weeks ago we started trying and i still have not gotten my period and ive taken two tests and they still are negative! no period, and not pregnant, and rapidly trying...i think its my weight, i cant take an ovulation or fertility test without a period
did you gain extra weight recently? Because that could cause your period to stop. So could stress, and you seem stressed out. I would go see a doctor again and tell them what youre experiencing. It's always good to talk to a doctor if you usually get regular cycles and now they have stopped.
no i have not recently gained weight, i have steadily put on over the years, and during that time my periods have become sooo irregular and completely unpredictable...i have been expierencing this for about 5 years now...i was very stressed about a personal situation up until a week or so ago...so now that im pretty much stress free at the moment...i hope this will help with the pregnancy issue
yeah i guess you guys are right, i guess i just get so discouraged with losing weight, ive been struggling with it my entire life, and ive tried sooo many times to lose weight and i never really do...so ive kinda just let it be what it is, stopped really trying, excepted my body as is, didnt want it to stop me from having a baby though...however it seems that it is playing a main factor in just that right now... but thank you all
If you truly want to make the change to lose weight, you will. I struggled for years and years, and then finally this year, I decided enough was enough and I made the change. It takes a lot of dedication and will-power. I wish you luck!
