    Default TTC, a few questions...

So tomorrow, I am going to the doctor for my yearly exam. While I am there, I am going to discuss having a baby. My husband and I have decided it's the right time to have a baby. Is there anything you think I should bring with me to my exam? Should I bring a calendar of my last few periods? This is a doctor I have not seen before.

I am a bit nervous, because I am overweight, so I am afraid the doctor will advise me to wait. I am losing weight, I have lost 40 pounds since April. I have about 50 more pounds to lose to get to a "healthy" (but not my goal) weight. I am going to discuss this with the doctor, but is it healthy to not gain weight, or even lose weight during pregnancy? Any of you ever have experiences with this?

Since I can't edit my post, I will update it here. My doctor said I am completely healthy and should have no problems getting pregnant The 40 pounds I have lost so far has significantly increased my chances, and cured my high cholesterol. This is the first doctor visit in a long time where I was told I am completely healthy. Hooray! We also worked out a plan so I won't gain weight, or gain 5-10 pounds max during pregnancy. Now, the trying starts. Throw some baby dust my way!

Thank you! Also, I am wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have been taking ovulation tests. Yesterday, I had a slight LH surge. My husband and I had sex. Today, I took my ovulation test first thing in the morning, and my LH is really surging. Should we have sex again tonight, or do you think my chances are pretty good considering we had sex last night? Also, the doctor told me to stay laying down for as long as possible after sex. Last night, I fell asleep for about 20-30 minutes, then went to the bathroom. Good chance most of the swimmers made it upstream?

Hi! Baby dust to you first of all! second, it definitely wont hurt to have sex again. A swimmer may have made it up there the first time, but it wont hurt to try again. And laying down for that long is good enough! Good luck! I hope it worked!
