I am prone to cysts on my cervix and was recently diagnosed with genital warts and as a high risk HPV sufferer... the warts are gone thank goodness but I was wondering if these things could itnerfere or harm my baby when I am pregnant.

I had genital warts during my pregnancy..never had them before that...my doc said i had hpv and that was what caused them, and that pregnancy tends to bring out those kinds of things b/c of the hormones...she said that they would not affect the pregnancy..and she didn't burn them off or anything..they just went away after i had the baby...i have the low-risk hpv, but i was recently tested again, and it came up negative for hpv...so who knows? anyway, they don't affect the baby.

The only way HPV will affect the baby is if you have pre-cancerous cells. It could cause harm to you and your baby. My sister was just diagnosed with pre cells (more than a year ago) and they had to take half of her cervix out to get rid of them. SHe can still get pregnant but probably wouldn't carry full term or could potentionally kill herself. This may be different with everybody differently, but make sure you see your OBgyn on a regular basis.
