    Hi all,

I think i need a bit of encouragement as i am so fed up of gettin BFN. Can anyone give me a few tips on what they are doing to try and concieve as i am totally losing all hope.

Im just like all of you guys in here, Thinking its never going to happen!

Everyone says your more likely to fall pregnant when your not thinking about it, But how is this possible when you want something so bad?? I feel like it is taking over my life.

Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. xx

Having you talked to your Dr? Have you been tracking your ovulation and/or BBT? Are you taking prenatals, following a good diet, exercising, etc? Is he abstaining from ejaculating a few days before you ovulate to build up his count?

    Hi thanks for the reply.

Yeah i have but they wont do anything until i have been TTC for a year or more. Yeah i have also been tracking my ovulation. I am taking folic acid which i have been for the last 5/6 months and also taking multivits, I would say i have a good diet and do exercise and we also try to wait a bit before my ovulating dates to maximise the sperm count.

Do you know of any supplements that you would recommend?
Any other advise would be great. Thanks.

How long have you been TTC? With my first, I tried naturally for about 18 months, then ended up seeking medical assistance from my gyn. Finally, after 2 years (total) about 4-6 months with the Dr's help, I was pregnant.

It is frustrating, but the moment it becomes THAT frustrating, it may be time to take a break for a few months. A few months free of thermometers, charts, scheduled sex, etc. Those breaks will do a lot for you mentally. I know, I know, easier said than done.

My parents tried for almost 11 years before they had my brother, which they were told was a total miracle and that they'd probably never conceive again. And then almost 3 years later, unexpectedly, guess who popped up? ME! haha.

Don't give up hope, but for goodness sakes, don't stress yourself to the breaking point (which is ALSO stressing your spouse to the breaking point) to the point you're not enjoying life with your partner. Enjoy yourself....relax...do what your doctor tells you, and that's ALL you can do. Worry is wasteful. Exert your efforts elsewhere.

    Default Hi

    Hi beautiful disaster,

Firstly thanks for the reply, and secondly 11 years is a long time lol.

I am so stressed and upset that this still hasnt happened, i want it so bad and hoping its going to happen soon.

Do you have any advise on ttc or any recommended supplements? Ive just ordered some cheap ovulation tests off ebay to get a rough idea of when its the right time but was wondering what day other people start taking them on, any advise?
    Thanks again x

Take a deep breath and calm down. Being stressed can be the cause of you not getting pregnant. From what you wrote you are taking plenty of supplements, don't over do it. Just relax and think positive, it will happen when you least expect it. Good Luck!
