Okay so I had to have an emergency episiotomy on October 28th. So far its been three weeks and three days and my bottom is still very tender and sore! TMI, but it really hurts to use the bathroom it stings and burns really bad when i pee, and even more when I do number two, and when I push it also bled a little today too and im just wondering when does this pain usually subside? And is bleeding a little normal when you do number two or did i rip my stitches or rip down there? Any info on this can really help! Thanks.

Okay, I didn't episiotomy, but I tore very badly and had to get stitches. I can tell you that it hurt down there for a good month for me. I wasn't able to do anything intimately with my husband until the full 6 weeks. I also bled for 4 weeks so thats all normal. I can tell you that using a peri bottle (Like a water bottle with a squeeze top) with warm water helped me while I was going to the bathroom. I squirted it while I went pee and it took away quite a bit of the pain. And going #2 scared the outta me everytime I had to! I would suggest waiting until you really have to go so you dont have to push too much... Also, sitz baths really helped...using epsom salts in a hot bath. I thought I tore stitched too but I eventually healed! I hope this helps!

Sorry you are in so much pain, but I can tell you that getting a can of Dermoplast and spraying on the area will give you MAJOR relief. If they didn't give you a can at the hospital, you should be able to buy it at the drugstore (it's in a blue can). There's also a website for the product; just do a search on google and it should be the first site to pop up.
