Hello. Ladies! I'm back. I'm not sure where to post this question. Sorry. My baby was due on 11/15/10. He is one week old now. Right now we are taking good care of him. We are not sure what kind of milk to feed him. Either the bottle milk that is instance or the one with the powder formula. Right now I'm feeding him Gerber the good start one. Its a can opener like the soda cans. We tried to breast feed, but it didn't turn out.

I always tended to go with the powder because neither of my kids would take the premixed formula well as it was almost too concentrated. There are many you can try... You can try the Enfamil Newborn, Gerber GoodStart, etc. You can also talk to your pediatrician as well. Sometimes you have to go through a few different ones until you find one he will take to easily. Buy the small containers until you find the right one for him.

I had to try literally every formula on the shelf (including the hypoallergenic ones) before settling on Carnation (it wasn't Gerber, but Carnation back then) Good Start when I had my baby. It was the only formula my baby could tolerate. I would say I used the pre-mixed and powdered formulas equally, though, and really noticed no difference when using them, except that the pre-mixed one was tons more convenient. In the end, you may have to try several different brands and see which one your baby tolerates the best; makes him less gassy, easiest on his stomach, etc.
