I am just curious as to if anyone may have become pregnant after having a tubal...
I have been reading all of your posts and God Bless you all... I do understand... I am 42 and I also had a tubal 14 1/2 yrs ago... I am a strick 28 day cycle everymonth my period is 2 or 3 days early depending on how many days in the month except for February... Which is only 28 days... My last period was April the 5th 2007 and this month on the 2nd I had one little pink spot and then again on the 3rd.... and that was it!!!! I have taken 4 pregnancy test and all were negative... So I called the emergency room to ask a nurse and instead I was referred to a Nurse's hotline... The lady I spoke with reassured me that there was not a false positive test result if it is positive then the hcg is there and so is a baby... Then I asked about my age and the tubal.... She then informed me that age has nothing to do with it... Unless you have completed the change... But as far as the tubal it was not as good of an idea as I had thought at the time.. After some time you have a 1 in 200 chance of getting pregnant... She said that the body was a wonderful healing machine and that it will heal itself over time... So then at that point I was very sick to my stomach... It is the 18th and I am 16 days late.... And also very worried... If anyone can relate to this I would appreciate your response and as far as the rest of you.... God Bless each and everyone of you....
i had my tubes tied and cut 3 years ago, i never had problems with my period til now.....my last period was april 27,2008 and now for 4 days i been having spotting and light bleeding (reddish to brown) sorry if too much info.. breast sore sometimes ...really i dont know what can be wrong with me...can it be a pregnancy? not sure.
She is correct. There is no such thing as a false positive. It will not be positive if there is no hcg to make it positive.
I am suprised that she did not speak with you about possibly starting into menopause. Its not uncommon to start transitioning into it at age 42. Sometimes it happens all at once and sometimes it slowly transitions. For example, you could be regular for months then have a light period then completely miss a period then have two periods in a month then be regular for a while or spot for a while... just depends on how your body transitions.
I would go to the doctor and tell him/her whats happened. They can check your hormone levels and whatnot and go from there.
Many things affect our hormones and periods. Stress, increased or decreased activity sexual or otherwise. Season. If you have had a tubal for 14 and a half or 4 and a half and have regulary had sex the chances of it reversing itself are almost slim to none. Especially in newer tubal procedures. They cauterize the ends so they cannot attach to each other. Not saying some weird phenom such as growing a new branch or something can absolutely not ever happen but again, probably not.
