    Okay,
So I understand how a home pregnancy test works, with the HCG levels but heres my question.

Do pregnant women release these hormones throughout there entire pregnancy?
Like if someone who was 2 1/2 months pregnant took a home pregnancy test would it still come up positive?

I ask this because I have a super irregular period.
I had a period the day after I had barely intercourse (I stopped in the middle, personal circumstances) but I slowly have been getting a slightly bigger stomach. It just hit me that I could possibly be pregnant, I took a home pregnancy test and it came up negative.

can someone answer this question for me.

Those test are pretty sensitive, so they will pick up even low levels of hcg. Most pregnanat womens hcg level will continue to rise until about 10-12 weeks, then it will level off, however the level would be more than enough to register on a home pregnancy test. Some women do get false negatives if they test wrong and some women ( it is very rare) do not store hcg in their urine or store very little in their urine. Like I said though that is extreamly rare.
The real question is, did the guy ejaculate? If he did not and you are on bc and take it normally than the chances of you being pregant are slim to none, especially if you had your period the next day. Most women ovualte around two weeks after their menstral cycles, so you shouldn't have been fertile at the time you had sex.
While some women do ovulate later and some women can ovualte twice in a month, again that is rare and you are on bc pills and had a negative test. It sounds like you are not pregnant, but if you are unsure and have not gotten your period, you should try and make a dr's. appointment to get yourself checked out, to be on the safe side.
