Thread: doctors say no after blood test

First of all if they told you that you might have a cyst you need to go see your gyn doctor ASAP! Did you take another pregnancy test since you been to the doctor? The blood test usually confirms that you are pregnant more than examining you itself. When i found out i was pregnant it was by a blood test and when they examined me they didnt see anything since i was early, so the blood test is the only positive way they will know if you are pregnant or not. So mostly likely you are not pregnant if they blood test says so. Be sure to see your gyn though to get a checkup.

Well ill till you about my problem and give my advice me and my husband have being trying and my last period was march 11th 2007 and ive still havent had a period and now it's june 6 2007 i went to the doctor and took to many home test and all came back neg when i talked to the doctor she told me the same thing about the cyst on my uteres but i really doubt that because ive had a period every month before weve tryed and ive being surffing the web and lots of women have being saying the same thing and some have had blood test and they came back neg and infact after being 3 to 4 mon preg it came back positive so cool it down and try to hold off on doing anything and take all information with a gran of salt ever women is different and not all have the same problem so wait for about a month and try again and if nothing then consider going to do more test on what the doctor is say but also take that advice with a grain of salt nowing that they tell every women the same advice so dont stress to much hope ive helped a lot and stay in contact to let me know what happen and ill do the same good luck

Blood tests can tell almost right away so if the test is sayinf negative then your not pregnant.
The home kits are not quite as reliable.
They should send you for a scan to see whats going on,as this is not normal.
Go back to the dr and ask for a referal to the hospital,its not right,if yo7ur not hapy change your drs to a more understanding one.Good luck

i beg 2 differ bout the blood tests.
i have all symptoms of pregnancy, yet 2 home preg tests and a blood test have come bk neg..... to which my doc replied that jus cos my hormone levels are within normal range now..it doesnt mean it will be next week or the week after!!!

i am now being sent for an ultrasound on monday!!

I everyone I am new to this site, but I was searching the net to try to answer a few questions and to find out if I am the only one who is going thru being 64 days late for my period and have had 3 negative urine tests. I usually have a 24 day cycle and my last LMP was 5/2 and I spotted very lightly(did not require even a panty liner for protection) color was dark brown to very light pink. So here I am in July and still a no show. I have racked my brain for several weeks wondering what is wrong and coming up with no answer. I even went to the ER Sat. to havethem do a urine test (one of the three that came back neg.) I later found out that if you drink alot of water before taking the test it can dilute the hcG thereby giving a negative result.

For the past 9 weeks my body has gone thru many changes. Sore and tender bb's, metallic taste in my mouth (I actually thought there was blood in my mouth, which of course there wasn't) for a few weeks I could not stand to smell my fiance's cologne, I am not big on eating meat but it seems I can't get enough of it. I have had insomnia which now seems to be going away a bit. I noticed that I would get tired but never extremely tired, although, yesterday I noticed that I am beginning to feel very sluggish like I don't want to do anything. Oh yeah when I went to the ER on Sat. I told them that for 2 days I felt a lump in my breast near the areola and the doc. simply told me that it was most likely a cyst. I asked my GP to write a prescription so that I can get a mammogram done but today I noticed that the lump is no longer there! I couldn't believe it so I kept doing breast exams and it really is not there! I started to research and found out that sometimes that happens with women who are pregnant. WOW how weird is that??? I took a blood test on Mon. and since today is the 4th I don't have my results back yet. Tonite I realized that I have been having a lot of discharge all day. My BFF told me that she had two negative urine tests from the hospital and she waited another month because she just couldn't shake her symptoms and she finally had a blood test which came out positive but by that time she was nearly 4 month's preggo. Oh yeah, if anyone is wondering I am still going to have my mammogram done because I will be 37 July 13th and I need to have it done. Please keep me in your prayers and I will do the same for you guys.
