Can being dehydrated cause spotting during pregnancy? Also, can doing exercise or walking/running alot cause spotting? Just a couple questions...

Are you the one pregnant, XT? Anyway, too much for being nosy....

Depending on the individual's condition, walking/running may cause spotting, hence some women are advised to have a complete bed rest and are given some medicine in order for her to keep the baby. I once had this experience. If you are just asking out of curiosity, that's I can say. It would be better if you provide is more info though. Now, if you are pregnant (or someone is), please do not delay seeing a doctor to address the spotting. Please do not go to the extent of getting dehydrated, as it is both hazardous to you (the mom) and the baby. It could lead to constipation (the least) or it could be worse.

Yes I am pregnant. I was just wondering. I saw the dr and he told me to drink a lot of fluids and to rest and relax for the weekend until the bleeding stopped. Which so far it has the nausea is back. Alot of people told me that spotting is normal during the first trimester. I know alot of people who spotted during the first 3 months I guess I was just over reacting.

How far along are you? Have they done an ultrasound yet? I spotted around 6 weeks for a couple of days, just a small amount and the blood was a brownish pink. I went to the ER they did an ultrasound (got to see the baby's HB!) I was told it was implantation bleeding and not to worry. What color is the blood, if it is bright red, or a grayish pink there might be a problem. If I were you I'd ask your ob to do a ultrasound just to check and make sure everything is ok. Some women can spot and bleed through out there entire pregnancy and deliver perfectly healthy babies. Stressing yourself out will not do you any good, go get checked out it will put your mind as ease, I know it did me. Hope all is well!!
