One has nothing to do with the other and masturbation is a normal part of life.
I'm quite sure that there are millions and millions of women that have given birth to healthy children who were or still are masturbators.

How old are you? No, masterbating will not effect your ability to become pregnant. May I suggest that you buy some books on the female body/reproductive system and how it works?![]()

... and here is yet another example of how the educational system failed to teach sex ed to young people. No offense OP, it's certainly not your fault for not being properly educated. I agree with the above, masturbating is as normal as eating and breathing (although there are some religions that disagree but that's up to you to decide). There are absolutely no harmful effects of masturbation to you or your child before, during, or after pregnancy. Please, please, please get educated as much as possible about sex and reproduction. Either through a female adult you trust or reading about it. Be careful about what you read on the internet though as it's not necessarily an accurate or reliable source.

Although educational books and other reliable sources of information are very available. It is very much our own responsibility to ensure we have good general knowledge of how our bodies work. In the UK sex education and science, both teach how the reproductive systems work numerous times, in almost every year of secondary school.

This is not a case of educational systems gone wrong. Masturbation is not taught the subject is not brought up or encouraged, the science of reproduction and anatomy is what they are taught and what the kids will have in their minds if they so choose to listen.... and here is yet another example of how the educational system failed to teach sex ed to young people. No offense OP, it's certainly not your fault for not being properly educated.

Yes but isn't it mentioned in sex ed that it's ok to have sex during pregnancy? It was in my sex ed class at least. So if it's ok to have sex, I would think young people would be able to figure out that it would also be ok to masturbate. Are people really that dense that they can't make that association for themselves? (Again, no offense OP, just saying in general).

Women masterbating ? That is going to be taught?
Remember, until us liberated women started mentioning it, it was never mentioned in the female sense.
Yes, young teenagers, early 20's even, in-experienced girls in-other-words that have no one to ask, ie) Mum, I masterbate is that going to affect me getting pregnant? " "You what?" ... simply put and no offense, but for generations women placed knitting needles inside themselves to have an abortion, as they couldn't talk to anyone, why would it be dense that a young girl, thinks that putting "anything" inside of herself other than a penis, may cause her problems? She hasn't stated how she masterbates remember
Can you damage yourself OP? Yes, if you are using items that shouldn't be used in penetration that may be sharp like objects.
If you are using your fingers on your clitoris, maybe even progressing with your fingers inside, the worse thing that can happen is your nails are too long and you cut yourself.
Feel free to ask any sexual questions here, that is what this Forum is all about...
General conversation on the subject will always come into play as well, so don't take that as being directed at you personally.

It is mentioned in class about having sex while pregnant being fine. Have to remember though that at the ripe age of 15,16,17 these kids are not exactly poster children of applying common sense (not directed towards you OP, just in general), which is perfectly okay at that age. Most do not actually want to be in the class in the first place, being forced into a mandatory "this is for your benefit" class will result in a lot of missed concepts and rolling of eyes. Figuring out that it is okay to have sex means it is perfectly okay to masturbate simply does not coincide with many. Maybe they are brought up at home to not even consider masturbation, and when they finally do consider it they have zero idea of what to expect or what it is okay and so on. Nothing like that will be taught in school, it will not be taught that it is okay to masturbate and some people encourage it. No subject will be about sexual self love. It will be about cells, blood, and how pregnancy occurs.Yes but isn't it mentioned in sex ed that it's ok to have sex during pregnancy? It was in my sex ed class at least. Idk... I just remember even at that age having at least basic common knowledge about things, and having enough common sense to be able to figure things out. But it's clear, reading some of the things in this forum, that not everyone has that unfortunately... and of course it's always ok to ask, and in fact people should ask if they don't know. Again, this isn't at all directed at the OP, just speaking in general... I didn't say or mean to suggest that the OP was "dense", that was just a response to something IAS said, so my apologies if it came across that way.
Back to the OP, you say you want to become pregnant after you're done with school. Are we talking high school or college? If it's high school, that is much too young to get pregnant. You have so much of life to experience before thinking about having children. If it's college, that is still rather young... and I would really suggest being educated about sex and reproduction more before you consider having a baby, as well as partnership and being financially stable enough to raise a child. Just my thoughts.
