Unhappy Scared that I'm not able to get pregnant

Ok, so I need help! I was on birth control for around maybe six years. I have now been off of birth control for maybe a year and a half or two years. Although, I am not planning to have a baby, it would not hurt my feelings if I wound up pregnant. And I know that my boyfriend would be 150% supportive if I did get pregnant. Well, anyways, back to what is scaring me! We have been using the "pull-out" method for our safety procaution during sex ...... and im still not pregnant! did birth control ruin my life? or is the pull out method really working? ....I would be totally heart broken if I was told that I would never be able to have a child.

I don't get it... do you want a baby or not?

I don't see why you're now worried about being infertile. Yeah the pull-out method is not super effective, but it's more effective than NOT pulling out.

Start charting your basal body temperature - this will allow you to figure out when you ovulate, and will tell you when you are fertile and when you are not. Women are only fertile for about a week each month. You can have all the sex you want for the rest of the days and no baby will come.

If you are not trying for a baby keep pulling out, if you would not be disappointed in having a baby he can finish in you because the sperm needs to remain inside for there to be any chance of pregnancy. You can get pregnant at any point in your cycle, the most fertile time is the most probable time for pregnancy but it is not an all-or-none event you can still get pregnant from pulling out on a fertile day, staying in during your period week, staying in during fertile times...any combination will still result in the possibility for pregnancy but not 100% guaranteed pregnancy.

I've read and re-read this thread and I'm still not sure if you WANT to become pregnant or if you WOULDN'T MIND if it happened?

As far as using the pull out method "for our safety procaution during sex"...this is quite risky IF you are trying to prevent pregnancy.

I don't think you having been on BC for a period of time has anything to do with your chances of getting pregnant. But I will defer to my friend ItsASecret for her wisdom and well educated knowledge in this area in order to serve you better.

Want to become pregnant? Have him ejaculate inside of you.

Don't really care one way or the other? Continue on with the pull out method...just don't be surprised when it occurs.

Ok, not trying, however because of our not-so-efficent method, I was just concerned that being on BC had an effect on my fertility. Because, yes, in the near future i will be planning. thanks for the responses!
