Did you do a pregnancy test? I had that experience before and it turned out I was pregnant. I have the same symptoms too when I am going to have my monthly flow. So when in doubt, I take a pregnancy test and call my OB-GYN.
Bumping for advice.
Hi ladies,
Ive used this forum once in the past and it was a brilliant help so im back for some more please!
Basically, ive been trying for a baby for 3 months now and ive tried SO hard not to get carried away but i am a week late for my period but have had cramps for abput 5 days now, i thought nothing of it as yesterday morning i came on my period or so i think, its now stopped very suddenly and my period was very light and very infrequent, bit heavier than what i would class as spotting but not what i would class a period either. I havent had that many symptoms apart from frequent urination cramps, headaches and tiredness but would like to hear from women that have gone through a similar thing?
Thanks in advance.

Some women who are actually pregnant have what they think is a light period when in reality it is implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is a small amount of bleeding (not harmful) that occurs when the fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine wall to start collecting mommy's nutrients for growth and developement. There is a very good chance that you could be pregnant so perhaps you should follow-up on it. Home pregnancy tests are great, however an exam by a doctor, PA, or nurse-practitioner can definitely provide you with the most accurate answer. They will also be able to determine if you and the baby are healthy and well if you are in fact pregnant.
If you are wanting to get pregnant you need to start caring for you body as if you were. Get a good prenatal vitamin and especially be certain you are getting enough folic acid.
An hpt at appropriate time will give you an answer.
