I didnt exactly know where to post this, figured people would probably think im pregnant so i posted it here.

About 3 years ago I noticed that my nipples get a little swollen looking sometimes and when I squeeze my breast and/or nipple a little bit of this whitish, clear liquid that has a very tiny yellow-green tent to it comes out. It's not a lot, just enough to soak up a q-tip. After a while I started noticing that this liquid can come out regardless of whether my nipples look a little perkier than normal.

Does anybody have any idea what this is and if it's normal?

I've been on birth control pill for 8+ years, just recently got off 3 weeks ago for health reasons. I know I'm not pregnant, haven't had sex since getting off the pill so I'm positive I'm all alone here, lol.

Hmm sounds like a hormonal imbalance perhaps?

Does it happen during certain times of the month?

This happens to me randomly, during certain months. I'll take off my bra and my nipples feel wet, I look down, sure enough, I've leaked. I've asked my Dr about it and he said it was more than likely just monthly hormonal changes since I'm otherwise healthy and have regular blood work, etc.

There can be other issues as to why this occurs, so, if you are due for a physical, get in and talk to your Dr., get blood work, check your hormones, etc.

It sounds like a minor bit of lactation, which is caused by hormones. Not usually a concern, I had it for years before I had children and still get it sometimes if they've been getting a lot of attention. If you mention it when you go in for a pap, they will do a smear just to make sure all is well.

It's a constant thing. My bra is never wet but at any point in the day and at any point in my cycle all I have to do is press on my boobs and a little bit of liquid comes out. I asked my obgyn a few years ago, I think he was uncomfortable squeezing my boob?? So he just kinda inspected my nipple and said everything looked good.

I just wonder what this liquid is and if it's a common thing for somebody in their early twenties that's never had kids before.

On a different note, I'm hoping that since my boobs are liquidy now, then when I have kids I'll be able to breastfeed. I really really want to breastfeed. I'll be totally devastated if for some reason I can't. My mon couldn't, so that kinda worries me. Don't want to have kids for snother couple years tho...

My guess is that you will lactate very easily.

For the record, not being able to breastfeed is uncommon. More often, people don't have the right support because in many societies, it's considered somewhat creepy to breastfeed at all.
