I have been trying to conceive for 7 months now. I am 26 going on 27 and My husband is 31 going on 32 and we have sex every other day. I know that I can conceive children because when I was 19 I became pregnant. I was not able to "keep the baby" so I worry that that choice may have interfered with what is going on now. We are trying every option we have before going to the doctor and I don't know what else to do. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! I am beginning to think that there is something wrong with me.

It takes months and months (sometimes years) for MANY couples to conceive. Have you started charting your BBT to see when you're actually fertile? If not, start doing it right now and save the sex for the fertile periods (and make sure your man doesn't masturbate in between as you need as many of those sperm as you can get in one go).

Terminations are absolutely safe. So unless you had yours done somewhere very shady and had terrible complications afterwards, then don't worry about there being any issues from that.

Please invest some time in educating yourself and your partner on conception before wasting money at the doctor's.

As Mes said, start charting. Charting can seem overwhelming if you're not informed about it, but it's actually VERY easy and tells you a lot about your body. I recommend "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler if you want to learn everything you'll ever need to know about charting and trying to get pregnant (or trying not to get pregnant).

Be patient. Empower yourself. If you don't know when you're ovulating, you don't know when you're most fertile days are. If you're not ovulating at all, then your efforts will be wasted until you are. Those are things charting can tell you.

Just to add something on top of what the ladies said above... Don't have sex everyday, I know it sounds great in theory but doing so reduces his sperm counts. Pinpoint when you are ovulating and abstain from having sex for 3-4 days prior to that time. Track you BBT and chart chart chart. Pick up ovulation tests. Make sure you are eating healthy and exercising. Start taking prenatals, get your body in baby making shape.
