I have stopped taking my pill about a month or so ago! My next period is due in about 2 weeks time. This week I have been having cramps in my lower abdomen, not painful but just plan uncomfortable, most the week I have had nausea on and off, bloating and have been going to the toilet a lot more often then usual. The last 2 days I have had really poor sleep and am just feeling rather run down and exhausted. I am wondering what the possibilities of being pregnant are? And how soon can you do a pregnancy test?

The earliest a pregnancy test can be taken and be somewhat accurate is 5 days before your scheduled period IF you get an early pregnancy test. If not, then you need to wait until you actually miss your period. Sometimes even that early, they are not all that accurate.

Cheers for that. Best I just wait it out then. To bad I am an impatient person, it's going to drive me nuts haha

LOL - yeah - Impatience is not your friend when you are waiting long enough to take a pregnancy test. Been there, done that, enough times in my life.

The pregnancy hormone starts showing up in the body within 2 weeks of implantation. Unless you know when you last ovulated (you can know that by charting...) it's going to be difficult to know when you would've had implantation if you are indeed pregnant. You can buy cheap hpt's at places like a Dollar General store.

Could you be pregnant? Sure, absolutely. But you should also consider (when getting your hopes up) that your body makes adjustments after going off the pill that can result in some strange symptoms for a while. A great thing to start doing if you're not pregnant this time is charting. Then you'll know IF you're ovulating, when you're ovulating, whether or not you have a healthy luteal phase, etc.
