I realize this may be a sensitive subject to some people, so please know now that I'm not out to offend anyone.... but curious for my own sake.
I haven't had a response to the other thread in birth control yet, so am seeking tidbits where I can so I can have a loaded questionnaire with my gyne's assistant tomorrow afternoon. That, and I"m antsy. Sorry 'bout that....
So after three months being blissfully period free, I of course have that worry that every woman experiences: am I pregnant?
I don't get the luxury of looking for common signs and symptoms, however, since everything I have so far found assumes that I WANT to be pregnant. I would have asked for a reverse tubal ligation if that were the case, but as it stands.... nope.
So my questions is this: how long can an ectopic pregnancy exist for, and is it possible to have no signs or symptoms? I have read that I would know it right away to possibly not knowing until my fallopian tube ruptures, which I'm hoping to avoid....
I've also read that hCG levels in ectopic pregnancies will not always rise enough to trigger a positive pregnancy test, yet the nurses I've spoken with at work tell me that's a "load of trash".
So I've come to no conclusions whatsoever, except that everyone thinks differently. That's nothing new.
So can anyone help shed some light? Or past experiences?

Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
Thank you. Figured no one really has answers for me, so I guess I'll have to post them once I know more....
