Among other possibilities are that you may have misread the first test or you may have not followed the directions correctly.
I took a test in early July and it was positive, then I took another test the next morning and it was negative. Two weeks later I took a test and it was negative. What could that mean?

There are few truly "false" positives. Have you had your period since the first test? My concern is that you were pregnant but aren't any longer.
You may need to see your doctor if your period doesn't come. If your period did come already, then your body has likely already "taken care of" any fertilized egg that could have been there. This could be because of a blighted ovum, poor implantation, or any other factor that would make a pregnancy unable to continue to full term.

This happened to me several years ago..positive, then negative. I never really knew, false positive or pregnancy.
Do you chart your cycles? Are they pretty regular?
For a pregnancy test to show positive (unless it's a false positive), implantation has to have occured (which is what causes the pregnancy hormone to start releasing and be detectable on an HPT). When you took the pregnancy test, how long had it been since your last period (how many days?)? Chemical pregnancies (pregnancies that are miscarried in the first 20 weeks) account for somewhere around 50-75% of all miscarriages. One of the main causes is abnormalities in the chromosomes (could be a bad egg, or a bad sperm). In this case, it's not typically a health issue with you that is causing the miscarriage. It can happen to anyone.
I'm in agreement with Little that if you do not go ahead and have your next period normally, seeing a doctor would be a wise idea. If you are TRYING to get pregnant, I strongly recommend charting your cycles as well.

I took my first pregnancy test a week or so after my last period. And when I had my last period, I had cramps that were more painful than usual since I started taking birth control pills six months ago.
Okay, so you are on the pill? Do you take it regularly? If so, the chances that you were actually pregnant are almost none.
If not, then that means you would've had to go off your period, ovulate, fertilize and have implantation all within a week........which is also very unlikely.
If you weren't on the pill, realistically you "could've" been pregnant while on your period....but I doubt it.

I am on the pill and I take it the same time everyday--except maybe one day last month where I took it 7hrs late. However, I did not have sex until the next day, which I took my pill on time that day. I do, however, have a weak stomach. I have anemia, so I vomit some days.. However, I make sure I take my pills HOURS before I eat anything, so I've never vomitted less than 3 hours after taking the pill. Also it does not happen all the time but it happens a few times out of the month... I talked to my doctor and she said that i am protected and i should be fine because bc is very effective.. But could it have been a chemical pregnancy? Or was it just a mistake on the test?
Then there is no reason you should've been pregnant. I think it's safe to say you were not pregnant and had a false positive.
A different question, what made you take a pregnancy test when you had just had your period the week before, AND are on the pill?
The pill can cause you to experience some weird symptoms sometimes....but if you're taking it correctly, those symptoms shouldn't be a result of pregnancy.

I am on the pill. And I took the test because my stomach just feels tough like it usually feels chubby, but now it feels like muscle. And I had some headaches and back pain.. I know that it could be anything, but my boyfriend did come inside of me multiple times that month, so I took the test just to be sure... So I could have new symptoms on bc after six months?
