Thread: period during pregnancy

I've heard on several occasions that some women can have their period during pregnancy while others don't. I don't think this is true because one of the first signs of pregnancy is a missed period so I don't think its possible. Have you guys ever heard of this?

It seems some people have breakthrough bleeding which looks like a period but isn't a true period. Can't explain why some people bleed all the way through.
