Worry is wasteful, and right now you have nothing to worry about because it hasn't been said for sure.

Aside from that, if you're young, with the advancements in modern medicine, it's highly possible by the time you'd want to have babies, advancements would allow that to happen.

If not, adoption is always a wonderful option.

Fact is, none of us know FOR SURE we can get pregnant, until we do. No need to spend life worrying about it.

I am not sure why you would believe you simply cannot become pregnant unless a doctor specifically and literally says you cannot. If you have not spoken to a doctor about it then there is likely very little to worry about since people cannot diagnose themselves, especially if all a person has done was read some online material (not saying this is what you have done but I am saying the general concept of reading a small blurb online and thinking a person is now diagnosed with something).
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

    Exactly!

I was conceived after my mother had been told her vaginal tubes were blocked and my parents were so convinced they wouldn't have another child that they didn't use condoms. Well, I'm here today

Don't worry about it! There's always a chance.

Is there a reason why you think you may not be able to get pregnant?
I know of many woman who didn't think they could get pregant or there was a good chance they couldn't and they did! My old roommates mother has endometryosis(sp?) and didn't think she could and she has two daughters.
I also had a friend that was on the depo shot for about 6 years but because of a prescription from her doctor, she is now pregnant!
Like Beautiful Disaster said, there is no use worrying if you haven't been told for sure! And if the doctor says you can't there still may be a way!
    but Good Luck!

Unless you're TTC now, there's no reason to worry about this. Where did this "news" come from?
I have a long family history of endometriosis, probably have it myself, and yet it only took me one month off BC to get pregnant the first time. And got pregnant again immediately after a miscarriage. You might be the picture of fertility, you'd never know.

Cysts are not uncommon Mem. They are actually very common in women in their reproductive years.

Did your doctor tell you that you have PCOS? That would be the only reason I could imagine he'd tell you that getting pregnant may be difficult. And even at that, women with PCOS are able to get pregnant most the time, it just takes a little extra work.

Telling a 17 year old that she only has a slim chance at pregnancy seems so irresponsible Your body still has growing and changing to do. Not to mention the MANY options to help fertility along. Don't you worry, Mem. When the time comes, I'm sure the only SLIM CHANCE there'll be is that you'll be out of options. You're still young and have a long, long time to reach maturity and try for babies.
