Hi everyone. I'm feeling awfully confused and desperately hoping someone can help with some "been there, done that" advice.
On July 21, I ruptured an ovarian cyst. Consequently, I ruptured a blood vessel which filled my Fallopian tubes with blood. I had a laparoscopy performed for the pain. During the operation, my doctor also identified and removed several spots of endo.
I got my period on time in the beginning of August. My husband and I have been TTC and did so for the next several weeks.
I am now 5 days late. My doctor performed a blood test on the first day of my missed period. My HCG levels dictated negative for pregnancy- but my progesterone levels were a 21.5- which she said indicated I had indeed ovulated.
The day my period was supposed to come I had a light pink discharge, but no period. I've had cramps for 7 days now- but no period.
I have never been on birth control so I'm not sure why any of this is happening. I've never been this late!
Hoping someone can help put my mind at ease!
It seems likely that your period is late or missed due to your operation. Might take a month or two to get back on track. I really wouldn't worry.
I'd take another pregnancy test in about a week just in case (store-bought one, no need to go to the doctor again unless it's positive, in my opinion).
