trying to get pregnant for ten years need some one to talk to
I wish I had found this site sooner. I'm a 33 year old who has been trying to get pregnant for ten years if not longer. I have been to alot of specialist and all of them told me a different story. Since my first period when I was ten I always had irregular periods there were times when I didn't have my period for 2 to 3 years, Dr. at that time says your young you'll be fine at age 16 I had a abnormal pap well had cervical cancer at stage 0 they froze my cervix. Well things changed I was put on provera to start my period well it would work for a few months and than stop. well about the age 18 I started having periods that would last 3 months at a time I wouldnt go to the doctor because they would tell me it was normal so I dealt with it. well to make a long story short when I met my husband 10 years ago he had 3 kids already so I had a built in family raised them like my own I was still hoping to have one of my own we than decided to find another doctor so I did they did a procedure that shot did dye through my tubes to make sure there wasnt any blockage and there was lesions and thats when I was told I had pcos. they put me on provera than clomid I did get pregnant but lost the baby. well I went through some depression and my house was not happy I would cry myself to sleep every night watching the baby stories on tv. I gave up. then I found a doctor recently who I told all my problems to and he set me up for surgery to remove the cyst {lesions} do a dnc and exploratory. it was not as pain full as I thought it would be. then I did the provera and he put me on medicine called femara it is used to treat breast cancer in women who is menopausal It is fatal to a fetus and that was what he put me on to help me get pregnant. I did some research and it is not fda a approved for that usage. so of course i went back and forth on if I wanted to take it or not. thats why i wish i had found this sight sooner so i could have had a few opinions well i did take it because i was desperate to have a child i just hope i didn't make a bad decision I was just wondering if anyone has used this med for this reason. well in about two weeks i will take the pregnancy test to see if it works wish me luck

i wish you luck too and like you said its in gods hands now and when your least exspected he will answer your prayers my boyfriend and i have been trying for the last year to get pregnant also and we still have not yet concieved so i know how you feel dont give up and let me know how that test turns out...

I just wanted to let you know that I know how you fill. Me and my husband have been tring for about 8-9 years. I had my first cycle at 16 then one of my tubes were closed,I have pcos and I have endometroisis. I had surgerys after surgerys and was put on cholmid but nothing For the last 2 years we were not tring because I could not deal with the disappointment any more. I work at a doctors office and one of the nurse there had to friends that tryed femara, by the 3 month of being on it they were pregnant and they had tryed for years also. This is the first month that I am on it and I should no something next week. I hope everything works out for you. Just try to keep positive.

i wish you lots of luck. i am scared about the disappointment i dont think i can handle it again. im glad you replied to my message because i thought no one out there heard of femera. im waiting on my blood results to see if if im pregnant. so the ladies you know had to take it more than a month before it worked... well keep me posted and good luck again.

i am waiting for my doctor to call me with my results. have you look this med up on the internet i was so scared to take it the first time i dont know if i can do it again. but my doc told me not to read any more up on it. well good luck again
