I'm so excited to find out if my little wiggler is a boy or a girl! I wish my appt was closer!
My belly has grown a lot in the past three weeks but I still look chubby in my belly rather than pregnant. I've felt small wiggles over the past 2 weeks but nothing strong know where close to a kick. I've put on 7 pounds since I was 7 weeks. Is this a good weight gain or is it too much? My boobs have grown a tinny bit, and I was wondering when the early milk would start.
I have started to get my energy back and want to start some easy work outs what is considered safe and good for the baby? I also noticed that since my morning sickness went away I'm getting horrible heart burn! On top of that I get easily winded is that normal for this early?
Since my belly has grown I find its difficult to do some sex positionsI also lose my balance every now and then. I havnt really noticed any mood swings or food cravings.
What did you experience at 5 months, when did you really start to show, feel kicks? How did you keep busy, and work out. Did you get out of breath easily, or lose your balance? When did sex start to change for you. When did you notice the weight gainhow much should I gain? When do you start to develop milk?
5 months is a confusing time! You are in the middle of the "honeymoon period" of your pregnancy. The morning sickness is gone, and the issues of being large have not yet begun. Women at this stage usually have lots of energy to expend.
Personally, I didn't have to switch into maternity clothes until 5 months. A first pregnancy will not "show" as early as subsequent ones, so don't hold your breath! Due to work attire, some people didn't know I was pregnant at 9 months. Um, hellooooo? Haha. I don't remember when I felt the first kicks, but I think it was after 20 weeks. I remember being surprised at my ultrasound that my son was going nuts kicking and I couldn't feel any of it!
I kept busy by working - ALL the time, it felt like. I would literally wake up, go to work, come home, and go to sleep. I didn't have time to work out because of it (and I'm looking very forward to a future pregnancy in which I will NOT work!) Walking is very healthy for a pregnant woman. Take your cues from your body. If you get tired, slow down. If you get dizzy, stop. You should also ask your doc for further suggestions on workouts and weight gain. She or he will know your medical history and have more exact opinions for you!
She or he can also prescribe you something for the heartburn - it is normal and usually a mechanical thing. Not only is your uterus putting upward pressure on your organs, the relaxin hormone in your system is relaxing your lower esophageal sphincter, letting more stomach acid up into your throat. Don't wait too long on this; heartburn is the feeling of acid eating at your esophagus and it can cause long-term damage when it's happening too often.
Early milk (colostrum) didn't start for me until a few days before my (induced) delivery. I was in week 38 or 39 at that point, and it was a big surprise for me! It still surprises me, the things my lactating breasts can do.
I don't really remember what issues I had with sex, except that it was quite uncomfortable to be in the missionary position because of my big belly, and that missionary was the only position I wanted to use :P I guess I will figure out next pregnancy what it was that I did!
Congratulations on your upcoming ultrasoundYou will be very excited, I'm sure, to find out the gender of your baby. If you have any more questions, bring them to us! And make sure you let us know what the gender turns out being!
