    Default Strong PMS or Pregnant?

    Hello all,

If any of you have been following any of recent questions, I've been under a lot of stress lately (Getting married, financial hard times, worried about getting a wisdom tooth out, etc). Anyway, I have this "menstration calculator" on my phone that calculates all my periods to 33 days apart. Normally I get my period 4-5 days prior to the "expected" period date. As of today, it's 2 days before, so I am not, according to that calculator, technically late, but I just figured I would have had it by now. I haven't been feeling any different than any other month, but I think just becuse I am worried and stressed about everything under the sun, I am freaking myself out.

Late last week and even over the week into today, occasionally I'll have light brown when I wipe. No big deal, I've had this before, so I thought "Oh I am gonna get my period soon", but yet, another day goes by and nothing. I have lower back aches and my boobs hurt. My boobs always hurt before my period though, so that's nothing new. I have no nausea, headaches, and never spotted prior to these past few days (like implantation bleeding)...also I am not constipated.

I have been emotional these last 2 days though, mostly because I am super stressed out and my fiance is gone to "deer camp." He left last Thursday and doesn't come back until Saturday this week. I barely have talked to him and it's frustrating me because I have so much on my mind, therefore, I've been crying.

I am currently not on any birth control and we mainly use condoms. If we do not use condoms we usually stop and I usually jerk him off (which takes about 5 minutes so he isn't really close) and he has a lot of control.

Do any of you think I should buy a pregnancy test? I feel foolish asking this, because I always tell other girls "just take a test"...but I just don't want to waste the money or the trip to the store for a test I probably didn't need to take. Just want some opinions first.

Just to add something else. I know if you're around other women enough, you pharamones (sp?) can transfer to each other and you can start to cycle together. Well all 3 of the girls I work with have irregular and random periods. One is bleeding for 2 weeks straight, another is like 40 days apart, and another is every other week. Could this have any effect on my normally regular periods? I seem to be the only one who's on a schedule.

Wait at least a few days (which is easier said than done, am I right?) before you test. Maybe wait until you're 5 days late, to match your menstruation calendar. I'm assuming you set it to 33 days for a reason, so try to hold out that long.

In the event that you DO need to buy a test, get the cheapest one possible, preferably with parallel lines instead of a + for a readout.

Well a few months back I was around 14 days late and after several negative tests, I finally got it. So after that I downloaded an app to my phone that tracks when I have sex, when I'm supposed to be ovulating and when to expect my period. After tracking for a few months it was determined that I go every 33 days... well the last couple months I have been 28 days, so maybe I am going back to 33. I don't know. Probably doesn't help that I am stressed.

What do you think the brown spotting means though? Just the on-set of my period...I've heard it can be a sign of pregnancy, but I've had that in the past and I got my period a few days later. IDK, I guess I am freaking out a little, lol

Brown is old blood, it is normal and happens to all women at some point.

Good thing I didn't go buy that test...I got my period this morning. I think I need to relax and clear my head. I am way too stressed.

I am so sorry you are stressed and upset, I hope that you can take some time and clear you head. When I feel stressed, lonely, and want to cry all day I find it helps to take a me day... Obviously for me I'm alone everyday and me days are unavoidable. But I take myself out. Nothing expensive, go to a cheap lunch, then maybe go to a craft store and find a small hobby. Like buying some yarn and ask the women there how to crowshay... Yes I spelled that wrong... Go to a book store and brows all the different sections. Maybe get a coffee

The point is get out the house away from work, family and soon to be hubby, which should be easy he is out of town. Busy your mind with the things around you, sometimes getting out of your normal life helps your mind see more clearly.
I want to say that things do seem hard, and at times like there is no end to "what comes next" but things do work themselves out. They do get better, and maybe now is one of those times that you need to take a break from trying to fix them. And work on you. And what makes you happy.
    Hope you feel better soon

Thanks Darling. I think I'll have to do that. It sounds awesome.
