I've been on birth control pills since October 30 of this year. My last period was on November 23, and I was most fertile between December 6-9. Today, on December 10, I had sex three times. The second time, we started to put on the condom, realized it was backwards, and flipped it over so we could still use it. I took my pill 5 minutes late because it was my birthday and people were distracting me. I usually take it at exactly 8 PM every night, but is anything going to happen because I was a few minutes off? Also, because we had sex prior to using that condom, I know it's possible that left-over sperm could have been in his precum and rubbed off on the condom before we put it on correctly. Should I worry? What should I do? I have the money for Plan B, but because I'm already on birth control, should I even take that into consideration? Please help me.

If you have been taking the pill at roughly the same time everyday (you have a 3 hour window to take the pill) and not missed, skipped, or purposely avoided any pills then you are under the full effectiveness of the pill. That does not mean full protection from pregnancy, it means the pill is working at the level that it should. As long as that consistency is there the chance of pregnancy is slim. Also, taking 5 minutes late or having sex multiple times a day makes no difference. That 3 hour window was made because life can get in the way (example traffic causing you to get home later than the regular time you take the pill). Again, as long as you take it around the same time everyday without missing any you are fine.

In addition, DO NOT take Plan B unless you have reason to think the pill is not at an effective state, as in missing the pill for a few days and then having unprotected sex. Plan B can and will affect your cycles, period length, and your body in general...it is not to be used unless it is an emergency situation hence it being called an emergency contraceptive.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
