I have a son abt a year old with dwarfism, and my husband has the same type of dwarfism. Both my husband and my mother want more kids, and I really dont want Drake to be an only child, but I`m terrified of having another baby with dwarfism. We had a scare at 7months in the womb when they told us Drake wasn`t going to be able to walk because his spine wasn`t growing, but he came out fine.
There are so many different types of dwarfism so we aren`t guarenteed that the next one will be the same as my husband and Drake and I just don`t know what to do?

Have you considered adoption? I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear. But I'm in agreement with you, that if I were in your position I'd consider my first child living and being healthy such a blessing that I probably wouldn't gamble with having another. Dwarfism in many instances is compatible with life and people live normal lives. But in other cases it's not compatible with life or requires a life of constant care.

Can you see a geneticist? They will assess your risks. All pregnancy has risks. Some risks can be assessed. Once you have that answer, maybe you can make a better decision.
