    Default pregnancy and... anal sex

Okay I'm not sure where to put this, I'm embarrassed to ask this question. But I'm a little worried.
So... I'm in my 3rd trimester, and my hubby and I have been very active. We were playing with a slender toy and one thing lead to the other ... Anal isn't new to us, we even did it once in my second trimester. There was no pain, and we used a drop of lotion I was very wet. But after when I went to the bath room there was a little pink in the discharge.

I have read that anal sex is fine in pregnancy, and I have read that it is not. This just kinda happened, and I'm concerned.

Is this something I need to worry over? I would hate to have to bring this up to my doctor... But is a little pink bad? I've seen it before after anal but that was before pregnancy.
Also is it okay to use hand lotion it was just a drop??

Anal is fine during pregnancy. Pink can be due to any number of things including being a little too rough and having a very minor very slight cut, so small that you would never notice any pain. If pink was there prior to pregnancy and it is there again then it can be attributed to the cause prior to pregnancy...in other words nothing to worry about. The time to worry is if you bleed anally, and by bleed it means bleed...not a drop, not a hint of pink, not a spec you need to use a magnifying glass to find, bleeding as in obvious we have a problem bleeding. That is the time to worry, other than that it is normal.

As for hand lotion, as per the labeling will say "use externally". Never use something that is meant to be used externally for internal lubrication. A drop will not make a big deal but use the proper lube next time.

Thank you so much for responding!
The pink was very light and was the same that I had seen before.
The lotion was only a drop and he said it was rubbed into my skin before there was any real penetration. Next time we will not use it!

I had anal when pregnant and there were no issues... But like IAS said, I'd avoid lotion next time and use actual lube.
