Are you getting any exercise? Of course, with doctor permission to do so, exercise is very important during a pregnancy even if it's just getting out and taking a good long walk every day.
Hi. I know this may seem silly considering the rest of the issues going on here but I still have 12 weeks to go and I have gained 22kgs already!! I am feeling very uncomfortable! I am been healthy and I think its because I stopped smoking when i found out I was pregnant and I snacked a lot. I am concerned about gaining too much weight but realise "dieting"is not ideal at the moment. Baby is doing fine it just me who is battaling.

I started walking a bit last week after I had been for a check up and seen how much I had put on. Its more about time really. I work all day and when I get home I am busy with my son and dinner and bath etc. I could get up early in the mornings but I am getting up at 5.30 as it is! trying to fit it into my work day but its a bit tricky at times![]()
Whew...yes you're definitely busy!! I can imagine that after all that, being pregnant as well, you're tired and ready to rest!! Is it possible for your husband to chime in a bit and perhaps do dinner on some nights or give son a bath so you can get some exercise? You've not long to go in the pregnancy, and of course it wouldn't be wise to deprive yourself of food, but many women overeat when they are pregnant because they are "eating for 2". But not really... If you think about how much an infant eats once they're born, you know they're only using a small fraction of what you put into your body. I think it's the hormonal changes that make you so hungry (sort of how I am during PMS except times 100 probably) Just try to get up moving around when you can, and make a point not to overeat. Some women gain more than others during pregnancy, but it seems that women who breastfeed take the weight off much quicker once baby is born. Plus it's so healthy for the baby!

Do you work in an environment in which you could get up a couple times a day and take a stroll around the building or office, just to get yourself up and moving? Maybe walk some laps around the parking lot?
Ultimately, try very hard not to stress yourself right now. It's almost baby time and you'll need all your energy. As long as you're healthy and doctor is happy with where you are, relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

Hi, thanks so muchI think i need to cut down on the pudding and get walking! I will try do it during the day or maybe on lunch. I am planning on breastfeeding and it did fall off quickly with my son but I never gained this much with him. I will chill and get walking. Thanks for the advice
xx
dont worry about the extra kgs or if you are gianing weight and is it wonderfull that you stopped smoking because of being pregnant . doing that alone is very difficult already so i applaud you! i think you are on the right path if your starting with some easy and light exercise and not worry about dieting just yet because the kg's will drop on their own so dont be worried! keep your head up an d the best to you and your new baby and always rememberr that you are not alone ! god bless !!!!
