Hi I am new to this forum, I have lurked over the recent topics and decided to join to voice my own concerns A little info on my background...
My boyfriend and I were recently engaged, have been together for going on 3 years, we live together...(I know it's not good) and I have been off BC for about 6 months now, we are not trying to have a little one nor are we preventing it, but personally I do think both of us would be very excited to find out if there was a lilttle one on the way. My concern is, how long does it take for BC to get out of your system, I am getting quite frustrated with myself because I want to be a mommy so badly. My cycles used to be very regular like clockwork now I am a week or more late before I start and it last for about 5 days. When I am a few days late I take a test but they all show negative. I cant help thinking there must be something wrong with me.

    P.s. Sorry for babbling!

[i've herad that bc takes a year to get out of your system but it truly is different for evevry person. i am kinda in the same situation as u. i have been off bc since april . my last period was june 4th and i have been having symptoms on and off. i took 6 hpts and all came back negative so i'm a lil worried. then recently my bf and i had sex and when i went to clean up there was alot of creamy white discharge so i don't know what it means. i would wait until abnout 2 weeks before ur next period or ur missed period to take another test. good luck!!!!! i hope everything goes well.

I know people who have been on the BC for over 10 years and they got pregnant within the next 3 months max. after they stopped taking it. You should try charting your cycle using the fertility chart...www.fertilityfriend.com.....it will help you to see the right days that may help you conceive. I have a few friends at work who have done this and it was right on for them. They conceived within the next month....My husband and I are trying now...it's my first month so hopefully everything went o.k....I'll take the pregnancy test within the next 2 weeks to see.......if not we will keep at it because I too am a long time BC user (15 years), so it may take a bit longer than usual...but hopefully not.
    Good Luck
