Im nervous because last week i went to the ER for complains of stomach cramps they found out that i had a bloody ovarian cyst on my left overy. is this normal??? will my baby be alright??? i have been worried about my baby since then. ive been eating right and trying to take it easy so i wouldnt put and additional stress on it. but i really need someones advice.please help.

Im not sure if it's the same for everyone or if it truely depends on the clinic...but at my first O.B. apt, i had blood drawn, a urine test, blood pressure, weight checked, and i also had to get a full on gyno-exam. If there is anything to worry about, I'm sure they will let you know..surely you will get ultrasounds to monitor the cyst and the baby's health. My first ultrasound was the same day as the first Official exam (after the initial blood test to proove i was positive and preggo) I was 6wks and 3 days, of course you could not really see much, but we were able to hear the "heart motion" and see the tiny "fetal pole" as well as see how everything was forming...hope this helps, and please dont worry too much until they give you a reason to! good luck!

My first visit, they checked my weight, blood pressure, took blood and urine which by the way on all your visit you will have to do the urine thing. They also checked for the babys heartbeat, everyone of my checkup they would listen to the baby's heartbeat. You will be examined also. You will be asked a number of questions about your health.

Dont worry, you will be fine!
I would like to recommend a book to you "What To Expect When You're Expecting" great book! In the mean time while you are waiting for this appointment you can learn so much from this book throughout your entire pregnancy.
I have an appointment also, my 36 week checkup im really excited because i will get to know if i started to dialating yet . Goodluck and keep us updated!
