Can you have symptoms of pregnancy before you miss your period?

I've been looking up symptoms of early pregnancy online but all the pages have different stuff on them. They all have tiredness/fatige, breast tenderness, and frequent urniation on all of them but then beyond that they never agree.

Is there a place where i can find a complete list of early symptoms?

I'm not due for my period until monday and the fatige and breast tenderness are normal for me pre-menstral and since i've just started a diet which includes drinking less pop and more water would explain going to the bathroom more, but i just can't shake the thought that i might be pregnant.

    Default Period late

Hi this is my first message.

I have been trying for a baby for a year or so now, I got married last year and was worried that at the age of 41 time is running out, I was diagnosed as having early diabetis this year. My menstrual cycle is usually every 28 days but I am now 3 days late as I was due on Sunday 08/07. I would like to know the early symptoms as well, I feel very squemish in the mornings but have not been sick, I have been very tired over the weekend, I thought that may be my diabetis?

My first suggestion to all of you (the easiest and fastest), to put your minds at ease, is to go to the grocery store and buy some pregnancy tests. They are usually very accurate and the good ones are around $20 to $30.

Becoming pregnant causes hormonal changes which are what cause the usual symptoms of...

nausea and/or vomiting (aka morning sickness)
    breast tenderness
    fatigue
    bloating
    mood swings
delayed period or spotting (aka implantation bleeding)
    increased urination

However, these are also symptoms that can be typical of other things. Most of those symptoms are experienced on a regular monthly basis during PMS or the acutal period. Natural changes in your hormones can cause you to experience these things for the first time ever and they may seem abnormal to you when they are in fact very normal.

There are some other things which can cause some of these symptoms. The frequent urination can also be a sign of an oncoming bladder infection or it can be something as simple as not realizing that you are taking in too much fluid before bed time. Drinking more water and less soda or juice will make you urinate more often because soda contains salt which dehydrates you. The water is easilly digested and passes quickly through the body whereas juice and soda do not. There are also some people who suffer from an abnormal need to urinate and need to take medication for it. They are advertising medications on tv now for that very problem.

The only way to know for sure, is to take a pregnancy test. If it's negative, take a look at your liquid consumption habits. You may also consider seeing your doctor to make sure there is not something else going on.

    Wink Due Today

My period was due today. it hasn't shown up yet. I'm giving it a few more days. My boyfriend and i have talked about this over and over again today, and although we're not ready (financially) for a child, we can't decide if we'll be relieved or disappointed if my period does come.

Please someone reassure me that the waiting to find out if you are pregnant is more stressful than the pregnancy. LOL

Well, I am glad that you at least know if you are preg or not. Now that you and your boyfriend know how each of you feels about the situation, you can make the choice together about if the time is right or not. Good luck to you both!
