    Where do I start...

I have been in a serious relationship for a long time now. I am very young, 23 to be exact and before you read this do not get the wrong idea-i'm not asking for anyone's negativity.

I just simply want to talk to someone who can relate to me. My mother was diagnosed with PCOS when she was 17 years old. The doctor told her she would never have children...SUPRISE! The first time she had twins and years later she had me. My twin sisters are now 30. They were both diagnosed with PCOS and told they would never have children! One of them gave birth to twins also when she was 19 and the other just had her first baby at 30 after many prayers & treatments. I have seen 3 doctors in the past year. They all tell me the same thing..."oh you are fine, you're so young." But i'm afraid that is not the case. Finally I got someone to take a look. About 6 months ago I had an ultra sound done and they told me I had small cysts but they could not yet diagnose me with PCOS. I also have cervical displasia, which also causes infertility... I got off of my birth control about 8 months ago so we are not trying to stop anything from happening but I just can't help but wonder why it has not yet??? When I talk to anybody about this all they tell me is how young I am and how I'm perfectly normal...and it's starting to get really frustrating because I know that something is wrong. I should be pregnant by now shouldn't I???? I even calculate my ovulation-and still nothing!!!!! If anyone has any positive advice I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks & God Bless!!!

    Default It is frustrating!

I know how frustrating it can get. I have been to countless doctors with pain and irregular periods over the past 6 months. They all say that nothing is wrong with me. Maybe a little cyst that will go away on its own. Then they advised me to get back on birth control. I have been off of it for 4 months and I havent gotten pregnant yet either.

My aunt is 32 years old. Over the past 2 years she has been trying for a baby, with one miscarrige many operations and fertility treatments. She finally had enough and quit trying. Within the 1 month of her not trying she finally got her BFP! She is due in July and everyone is sooo happy! I heard the saying that when you quit trying, you'll get pregnant. I just don't have enough courage to "quit trying" It seems like all I want to do is try....

I dont have any advice to give you but hopefully this gives you some HOPE!! You'll be in my prayers!

Thanks for replying. That does give me hope. I never really hear the positive endings about people like us so it's nice to finally hear it. I bought a book yesterday at a local book store. It's called taking charge of your fertility. It's a great book! I've almost read the whole thing just in one night. It talks about natural ways for us to conceive and what vitimans & nutrients we need to be giving our body. Folic acid is most important. I am actually taking pre natals everyday just to get my 800 mg. of folic acid a day. You should go to the library and check it out if you're a reader. It's made me realize that I need to be a lot more healthier before i even think about having a baby.
    Hope this helps you!!
