Hi, I'm new to the site. I'm hoping I can a few different people's opinions of what is up with my body. I have been very regular with my period for about a year now. I am 9 days over my 28 day cycle, and am using no birth control. My boyfriend and I are very careful, but how careful can you really be? For about a week, I've been having period like cramps, not as painful but in the same area as I get my period cramps. I've had some spots of light blood, but very little. And I saw some mucus-y brownish stuff and swore I would get my period the next day, and never did. I've made an appointment with my gyno, but am worrying myself sick. I take medication that is harmful for a baby. I quit taking it, but am worried if I am I may have hurt a baby, if I am pregnant.

I guess my question is, cramps but no blood? Is this normal? Or is it a sign of early pregnancy? I took an at-home pregnancy test on Monday, January 7, which was negative. I'm also having bad pains on the left side of my stomach. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot,
    Chas

    hey chas,
well if you took a test and it was neg. then most likely no baby. but your cramps or pain om your left side sound very familiar to something my son went through. he had terrible pains on his left side and even went to the er for this cause he was really hurting. well they did an x ray and it showed that he hadn't had a bowl movement for several days and it was all backed up. poor thing was really constipated. that's what was causing his pain. well good luck to you and i hope your doctor visit give you some answers....
