New to all of this... Anyway this is the deal. I'm 43 years old, never been on the pill (made me sick) and only have had one child by birth. That was when I was 18. I have never missed a period except when I was pregnant and when I breast feed my son. I have always had my period like clock work, every 27 days until two months or so. If I was to be pregnant, I would be 10 weeks on tuesday. I have taken two home pregnancy test, both negative. Went to the Doctor, she did one too, it was neg. I go on Monday for a Ultrasound and blood test. I have gained 6lbs, my breast have been hurting for at least a month, my stomach looks like I'm pregnant. My Mom thinks I look pregnant.. Both of my Grandma's got pregnant when they were in there early 40's and had healthy children. I've read about pregnancy symtoms, I have them all. It is crazy... I read on several other threads about people having the same problems as me but I haven't read anything if they ended up pregnant or not. I also know that so many people do the home pregnancy test and it be negative but end up being pregnant... Is there a chance, I am? Thanks for any info. I feel so pregnant!!!!

If you had the blood work done, and it showed negatice I would imagine that your not pregnant. However, you could just have low levels of HCG and perhaps there is a chance that it wouldn't show.

However, at 10 weeks you're not going to "look" pregnant. You could feel like it though. I misscarried triplets at 14 weeks and had only known that I was pregnant for 1 week. No one could tell, but I certainly "felt" pregnant. I have weird periods and didn't really pay much attention to the fact that I had missed a few.

Either way I hope that whatever you want- happens for you!!

As far as looking pregnant at 10 weeks, you can. I have several friends who have been pregnant and you could tell at a couple of months. Also if you have had children before you seem to get bigger first. Also on another website I go, it shows women pregnant at different stages... it is funny some women you can't tell at all, some you can a little and some a whole lot.... I do believe that is the way it is for everyone, we are all shaped different.
Sorry to hear you had a miscarriage....
Thanks for the info, I will let you know what happens after all my test on Monday...

Default Still don't have all the answers

Ok, went on Monday had Ultrasound and blood work done. They also did a Transvaginal Scan on me. Anyway I could tell the guy needed to tell me something but couldn't, had to wait for the Doc. Well, this is what I know at this time. I have several cyst on my ovaries and also there was a sac, which the Doc thinks is a Ectopic Pregnancy. What is strange all of my home pregnancy test have come back negative and they also did a Qualitative Pregnancy Blood Test which came back negative. So the Doc ordered a Quantitative Pregnancy Blood Test. This test can actually measure the exact amount of hCG in the woman's blood. I'm waiting on the results for that one. I'm also waiting on the rest of the blood work they did. Hopefully I will know everything by the end of week. Oh yeah, also after the Transvaginal Scan, I started spotting, it was dark. Now I'm bleeding some, not heavy, a little more then spotting so I don't know what is going on. I don't think I'm pregnant. I just wish the Doc would call me and tell me all of my results and what she thinks is going on. I still look pregnant, feel pregnant and my breast are still hurt. Who knows?
