I've never been pregnant so I have a few questions:

    1) How soon after "conception" can a woman feel symptoms? What would the first symptoms be?

    2) Could I have ovulated while I started my first week of birth control pills and still gotten pregnant 9 days into my pills?

    3) How soon can I test?

It depends on your body how soon you will feel symptoms. It's different for every woman and has to do with how fast and strong your hormones fluctuate. Some women notice right away and some never notice until they are far along.

A woman can get pregnant ANY TIME when on birth control! It doesn't matter how long you have been taking it. Birth control is NOT 100% effective. Chances are higher in the beginning that you could get pregnant because there is a period of adjustment where your hormones have to balance out again and your cycles develop their new pattern.

There are tests out now that can determine if you are pg almost immediately. I am not sure what the exact time frame is to wait, but I know they advertise new ones that work right away. I think you can get them over the counter. Just take a quick stop at the drug store and read the packages.
