    Default Twin pregnancies?

I was just wondering how far along you are when you find out that you are pregnant with twins? Some one told me that if you are pg with twins it will show up on HPT before some one else that is PG with a single baby. Is this true?

My next question is why no one answers questions on this forum? I mean some people get answers but some of us don't.. You may feel that my questions are ******, but I don't think that they are. I am new on here and all but none of the stuff that I have asked has been answered...

I haven't ever been pregnant ... I generally stay out of the forums that I know I can't answer, but since you asked ...
People answer the questions they think they have the expertise to answer. The questions getting answers lately are asking opinions and advice, not facts. You're asking if something is true ... something obscure that lots of us wouldn't have a clue about. Sometimes questions just don't get answered. Be patient.

My sister had no idea she was having twins until the ultrasound. That's all the information I can give you to help.

I sometimes feel the same way about getting answers...I am 5 mo. pregnant, and had a misscarriage back in Oct. of this year, so I might be able to answer...
First of all, when I first found out I was pregnant I made an OB appt. to make sure I was. It's never too early to start caring for your baby. I also requested an ultrasound because I wanted to know that everything was okay, and they did that at 5 weeks. You couldn't see much, but they could tell how many babies and if the baby was okay. I don't believe you can tell if you're carrying twins by a HPT, but in your first appt, they can check your HcG levels and should be able to tell...if you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Take care

Well this is my second baby, I have a two year old. I have also made an appt but they could not get me in until April the 7th. By my own calculations I will appx. be 8 weeks pregnant. I am already taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid. My father in law is a chiropractor and gets me all the vitamins I need. I was asking about twin pregnancy though because I already have a pooch in my tummy area and I started getting sick before I even missed a period. I have heard that a lot of women that are pregnant with multiples get symptoms early and get positive results on an HPT sooner too. Any way thank you for your help. I appreciate you answering...

I've read that people who already had kids show faster than someone who never had kids before. Everyone is different, some do get sick very early while some do not, but those are not reasons to know if you are having twins or not. Only an ultra sound will be able to tell you for sure.
