My husband and I have been trying to conceive for several months now, it would be my first child his second, well anyway last month we went on vacation and when we got back I took a HPT. The test came back positive and we were so happy! unfortunately I started bleeding last saturday and decided to go to the ER because I also had bad cramping. We stayed at the hospital for 5 hours, the doctors gave me a blood test and comfirmed my pregnancy, also they did an internal exam and an ultrasound they concluded that they didn't know why I was bleeding but they're blood test showed that my HcG level was only 14.4. they advice that I make an appointment to see my GYN within 1 day. I went home and the bleeding and cramps intensified throughout the night and I spotted from saturday night and it's now monday and I'm still spotting. I decided to do another HPT this (monday) morning and I was heartbroken when the result showed negative. I think the HCG level may have started dropping before I went to the ER because the home test I did wouldn't have detected such a low level HCG. Anyway could someone give me advice on what might have happen and what I should do? Could I still be pregnant?
