I just started my 5th week of pregnancy. Is it normal that your pants dont fit as well? Some dont fit at all and pretty much the rest barely fit. Uncomfortably fitting. Its my first pregnancy so I dunno if this is "normal". I know everyone is different but I dont want to gain too much weight.

Maybe you gained on your own. At this time in pregnancy you dont gain any baby weight, it is just the beginning. Most of the weight gain happens in the last trimester. Depending on how much you weigh your doctor will tell you how much you need to gain.
At some point ofcourse you will notice that your regular clothes wont fit you. They have those maternity jeans that has the band around the waist, its really good.

It usually happens if you don't have bad morning sickness because you feel like you can eat for two (or four.... ).

I went from 130pounds to 230pounds during my pregnancy, and in the first three months I was already in maternity clothes! I am extremely short, and my husband is very large and so is my daughter, at six months everyone thought I was already due or having twins (someone even asked if I had triplets!)

My weight gain started at 6weeks. First my jeans wouldn't button, then at 10 weeks I just couldn't fit into anything! Doctor said it was normal, actually, for my height and the size of my daughter.

If you are eating too much though, it's your own weight gain, you should probably talk to your doctor when you see him!

    Congradulations on your pregnancy!!!

I hear ya on the weight gain, i was gaining seven pounds every month at the beginning, but i think i started gaining from 2 months or so. At first i lost 5 pounds cause of the bad morning sickness, but as soon as it stopped i ate like a pig! LOL. Im also short, so i looked like i would have a big baby, which btw she wasn't, she was very tiny...

I wore alot of sweats during my pregnancy, since they are stretchy.
Everyone is different though, when it comes to pregnancy.

At 6 weeks pregnant myself I find myself having the same problem, I'm thin for my height only about 105lbs and within the last two weeks i find myself changing more often to be comfy or popping the top button....lol.. Since right now your baby isn't much bigger than 1/4 inch this abdomen expansion could and probably is you expanding uterus trying to make room in your belly for that precious bundle. I wouldn't be too worried though the same thing happened to me in my first pregnancy too, I was all belly but boy for a 6lb 3oz baby girl there was sure alot of it...lol...but if you really concern make a point of mentioning it a your next OB appt I'm sure he/she will be more than willing to help you out...
    Good Luck!!
