I am new here and this is my first post, sorry it's a little long.
i have been on birth control for the last 2 yeas and i have been taking it on time like i am supposed to except recently, like in the last 3 months, because of my work schedule changing so much. And now my period is all messed up but i dont even know what's going on, i have had really light spotting and it lasted for 2 days right around when my period was supposed to show up and then it just disappeared, and the week before it was the same thing but with brown discharge. I am just really lost as to what's going on with my body right now.

    Welcome to the Forum.

I actually decided to give my body a break and it basically went into it's own world.

    You are confusing it.

It was used to receiving a tablet a day. As you have stated, it is all messed up.

Once you take them daily again, on the following month, it should set itself right and go back to normal.

Even with work, you should be aiming at trying to keep to your pattern, try placing the packet where you can't help but see it daily.

yeah. but now i am getting severe nausea and my breasts hurt and everything, maybe I am just freaking myself out, but it's a likely possibility that i could be pregnant, because my fiance and I have had un-protected sex a couple of times.

The best thing is to hop over to your gynie. Birth Control pills, (or injection) change the
cycle dramatically. It might be nothing, or you could be pregnant.

Have you taken a pregnancy test yet? Maybe just rule that out so that you can relax and then figure out what's going on...sometimes if you convince yourself that you may be pregnant, you can actually have symptoms that are all in your head! Good luck!!

It sucks that all of the symptoms for getting your period are pretty much the same as if you are pregnant (sore boobs, moody, etc...) If you stress TOO much about it, your period may be late for sure! Just take another pregnancy test in like a week and if you are pregnant it SHOULD show up by then. Hope you have a good vacation regardless!!

thanks so much, it does suck that there really isn't much of a difference between menstrual symptoms and pregnancy symptoms. i am certainly going to take another test when I get back. But what's funny is that I am not stressed out at all, at least from what i can tell, maybe my body sees it differently. I will certainly see in 2 weeks and let you guys know what's going on.
