Exclamation six weeks late but two negative tests.. HELP!!

I've been taking bc pills for about 4 years now... in May, my period started on the same day I started a new pack of pills (around the 16th) and I had unprotected sex a few days later. I continued taking the pills for two weeks, but then went out of town and left them at the hotel so had to stop. I got my period again a few days after I stopped taking the pills (around June 4th). The pack I left at the hotel was my last one so I haven't taken any pills since then. I also haven't had sex since. But I did not get my period this month. I took a home pregnancy test about a week ago with a negative result and another one first thing this morning with a negative result again.

when I was younger my period was very irregular. Also, I started a new job about a month and 1/2 ago and I've been VERY stressed and have been forced to adopt new eating habits. I also haven't been experiencing any other pregnancy symptoms.

any idea what's going on?? could I be pregnant? or is it just stress?

Going on/off birth control can mess with your body's rhythm and it is not uncommon to miss a period or have an irregular period when you stop birth control, especially if your periods were irregular to begin with. If you have a history of infrequent periods you might want to see your doctor about possible causes. I had the same problem and it turns out I have PCOS which is a health condition which can cause this.
