Okay, so my friend just lost her virginity (I know this sounds cliche, but it really is my friend i'm talking about, haha) just about a week and a half ago and she's yet to get her period. Now, my friend was supposed to get her period two-three days after having sex...but she didn't. Now, here comes the part that's nerve-wrecking, she had unprotected sex. And has since had sex 5 more times in the last week and a half, and only two of those times she used a condom. She and her boyfriend are in denial and say that's it's normal to miss a period after sex, but I'm just really worried about her, and worried about her odds.

So...any opinions?

You sound a lot smarter than your girlfriend.

One of my college buddies had a girlfriend who was a virgin, but they were kind of "pushing the window" of her virginity. All he did was to "grind" with her (both were naked). Both of them swore that he NEVER ENTERED HER. BUT he got a little over excited evidently and "finished" on her lower abdomen. Next thing she knew, she was pregnant.

This can happen very quickly and easily and I don't think people have a good understanding of the real risk involved.

Thanks, hahaha. I've always been her mother hen. I even offered to take her/make the appointment to Plan Parenthood if she was scared/didn't want her parents to know. And then she calls me like this! Anyway though, so I DO have a legit concern here, and I'm not just being paranoid?

More than likely it is nothing to worry about. It is very common for a female to be late or even miss a period after losing her virginity. I know mine was 2 weeks late after I lost mine. But you should tell her to be a bit more careful.....maybe try getting on birth control if they plan on having unprotected sex in the future.
