    Hi Teri and welcome........

I think when we're deserate it somehow doesn't happen..Rebeliousness? From who? But with 6 of my friends, (true story) the moment they gave up, it happened. Stress can stop a lot of things! Think on that bit...

Gee, a few not many........years older than you and still also on the pill, as we call it in Australia.. Did you stop Depo Provea? Or just start having menstral problems? If you stopped your body is out of "wack" simple and trying to find itself.

That's one thing that can be thought about? And let us know, maybe we can find other thoughts?

    Never know....

Thanks for your reply, am glad I found this site! . I stopped Depo 3 years ago, and had no periods back for two years. Have bled almost all the time for months until past month - nothing. Had hoped I was pregnant but hpt negative. We have been trying for over a year now so I guess it may be too late.

Your obviously feeling quite down about this and I understand, as to have them is a pain let alone all the time......

Your body may be adjusting to what your trying to do as well, fall pregnant, have faith and believe and just let it go then and "know" and it will eventually happen...

I't way not too late I'm 45 and I know I can if I want to... I'll just settle for a new man in my life and what goes with that.

Keep smiling and letting us know how your going.

My wife and I tried for over 2 years before we became pregnant after she was taking birth control for 6 years. Now we are expecting are third child in next month. That will be 3 in 3 years.

So don't give up, but it may take awhile for your body to adjust.

You ladies may have to go back on the pill for ONE MONTH ONLY just to kick start your body back into having your period (it works amazingly well). Once you do this, your body will probably function right for some time to come.

My wife and I were trying to get her pregnant. She was the same as y'all in that she went for a couple of years without a period, then when she did start bleeding, it was like it would never stop. Her doctor tried a few things, none of which worked and then finally it got so bad that he just put her back on the pill for a month to fix her cycle (like I said, it worked well).

    Cheers.

To be honest they did suggest that but I was wary of that due to age etc. Thanks for the advice - I may just give it a go now that I know it has helped. Can't help distrusting the doctors but am more willing to believe others who have experienced the same problems. Thanks!!!!
