I'm on a low-carb diet & for dinner I'm suposed to have lean meat or fish & 2 cups of steamed veggies.... I dont eat meat so I have a lot of salmon, tuna steaks, & shrimp. I've never been very good at eatting my veggies either... I really only like broccoli, cauliflower, green beans (sometimes), and zucchini
Does anyone know of any low-calorie (low sodium) marinades for the fish? My favorite type of salmon was always applebee's honey grilled salmon so if anyone has a recipe of something low calorie similar to that it would be great... or some type of tomato basil sauce My problem with veggies is I've always loved them in different sauces... like chinese general tso's or seasame. Also has anyone ever tried the Mrs. Dash marinades? I tried using Mrs. Dash spices but I dont really like having pieces of spices on my veggies or fish. |

Chinese is my "favourite"....
Lemon juice and soya is actually nice, or oyster sauce and garlic. White wine a splash with garlic is really nice over beans. Fresh basic, chives, lemon thyme, corriander, with then lemon juice, garlic ( go the garlic) i know, i know, over fish is devine, you can add fresh tomatoes as well, i use all of that with prawns, and it's magic. I am weight conscious so nothing i do has much fat in it at all. Hope at least this is a start of something diff.. Can you use no fat white sauce packets? or they are not allowed? CW

I keep forgetting I am Australian.Pending on where you live, American's call it gravy and it's white, however in Australia, we can purchase it in a packet and add water, it tastes exactly the same but there is no oil/butter involved at all.... CW
